At around 1845 on October 30 2003 A good friend of mine(Gary Felton) called and told me to get my butt outside  and see what was going on, I went out and was awed at the site, it was the strongest , brightest and most intense Aurora activity I had ever seen! By the time I regained my composer, gathered up my (I finally figured out how to use) Camera and picked up another friend of mine(Paul Smith), The intensity had deminished somewhat but, was still BEAUTIFUL!! The following pix were taken with a Sony DSC F717 Camera at any where from 5-30 sec. Exposures. About 5 miles NorthWest of Terra Alta, WV. Not the greatest photos you'll ever see but, for my first attempt, I'm HAPPY!
